  1. Hi Adrian, Quick test would be just to put it in front of a digital SLR on manual and take a pic then one without
  2. That 16mm clip was just to have a go with my 'just acquired' Bolex. My main concern that day was with the shots aquired on video. Here's a liitle clip of the video from the same day http://www.digitalgloss.com/Jana.wmv
  3. Hahahah, yep me too Hal. Was Kodak 200T 7217, processing and TK was done by Czech Television
  4. Normal Loss is 2/3 of a stop with an 85. You have 1 and a 1/3, so that x2 on the filter must be a ND.3 - Adrian is correct
  5. pleased you can fathom it out Dave :o
  6. "reactionary, ultra conservative, lying, devious, scheming, dishonest, barely articulate politician " , but he doe's do a good barbeque
  7. In all honesty Serge, if you're not satisfied with what you should have had a sufficient time to do, then ten minutes more isn't going to solve the problem. And to back up David's sentiments, 'stock having more latitude' certainly makes lighting certain scenes even harder
  8. Hi Stephen, don't know whether this one would be any good to you. You'd have to cut the top off in PhotoShop http://www.normankoren.com/Stepchart_large_bw2.jpg
  9. Michael, I now promote you to 'Detective Lehnert', Super analysis.
  10. "Tokyo, Japan - Sony Corporation today announced the development of a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor (pixel size: 1.75µm square pixels, five effective mega pixels, 60 frames/s) with significantly enhanced imaging characteristics, including nearly twofold sensitivity*1 and low noise. This improved performance has been achieved by illuminating the backside of the silicon substrate, in contrast to conventional CMOS image sensors based on front-illumination technology..........." http://www.sony.net:80/SonyInfo/News/Press...069E/index.html
  11. Have to agree with you, John is a talented guy
  12. These are always handy when there is nothing to clamp to, will wedge in a door or window frame http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller...p&sku=33287
  13. Thanks Tim, great info. Why are the release prints (9 Minutes) so cheap, is the print film a lot cheaper than the shooting stocks ?
  14. Just a thing i heard or read about, tapes from different manufacturer's use different lubricants on the tapes What I gathered from that is what you initially use as tape stock, stick with
  15. Hi James, I have the K3 but not the M42 mounted one. Got the standard zoom with it but haven't got the camera here to tell you what it is. Have put one roll of film through it (Foma B&W reversal) and was very pleased with the results. Camera looks 'showroom' condition and comes with the usual filters etc. If you want it, can be 100 quid plus postage from CZ. Pm me if interested and i'll grab some pics of it tomorrow for you
  16. I own both Ray, I bought the NPR to be converted to super 16 and to take Arri PL mount lenses (something Les Bosher can do for $1500) but haven't been in the financial position yet to have the work done. Bizzare, but the 3 switar primes I have (10mm, 26mm and 75mm) came with the NPR while the Bolex I bought had no lenses, but all look OK on the NPR. Not 100%, but believe the constant speed motor is not synced but the other motor (if repairable) will be. Mine came with a Angenieux 12-120 so no knowledge of the 15-150.
  17. To max and Michael, I really don't think was intended for German speaking viewers, but to the non german speakers it was quite hilarious. Appreciate the post Stuart
  18. Thanks Ian, really appreciate your taking time to find me those links
  19. I'd just like to say what all others on this thread say, that the K3 footage looks great. I was reading another thread last week where John Sprung suggested using a strobe light to test FPS's - I've googled and have come up with nothing other than large disco lights. Do you have a link to a strobe light that you used. Thanks, Tim
  20. Is this another dream Glen ?
