  1. This is a grab from the copy of the invoice I was sent when inquiring and I read it as meaning 2 perf.
  2. I saw the original invoice for this film and it said 2 perf, or at least I thought so...have you actually bought some yourself??
  3. this film is 2 perf, for info. right?
  4. The designer said that he investigated metal 3d printing but it was too expensive given that several would need to be made just to perfect production. He thought that a resin version would be stronger and probably have better quality threads.
  5. Well, this guy has 3d printed an adapter to PL for the ACL. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4872906?fbclid=IwAR2bpB1T4Ml-fNps_UoK4js_myu1gI9whyGDyxyIdmm2u1DxL2E9EAqSQUE
  6. For Sale, Eclair ACL 1.5 (is fused, has medium base, built in meter, etc) 25fps fixed speed motor. Supplied with CA adapter, Angenieux 10-150 zoom that is very clear and smooth but does have some fine pin point size defects on the front element, Kinoptik non orientable viewfinder, 400ft magazine, top carrying handle, side handle, jaeger power cable and battery that needs re-celling. All in a fitted case. Good working, quiet camera. 1700€ Will also accept c-mount lenses. Contact me with your email for more photos and a video of the camera functioning. Would prefer to ship within Europe but I'm open to the possibility of shipping elsewhere.
  7. apparently £2500, "for a quick sale", but she does not seem to reply to messages or posts on this forum. ??? You have to trace her postings to find the original mention of the lens along with the price.
  8. Sent you a message, Freya.
  9. it's the clapper switch.
  10. my daughter just finished INSAS in Brussels, Belgium. Free and very high quality 5 year program.
  11. hope you scored the 4 opton lenses on ebay yesterday. 700 quid for 4 pl mounts. yeow!
  12. Thanks Charles. Send me the details, if you don't mind. Steve.
  13. you don't happen to have a motor for an ACL you would like to sell? Thanks, Steve Jackson
  14. Still looking!
  15. Does anyone have a variable speed motor for an ACL they can sell me? Thx.
  16. thanks for the update.
  17. I tried to push that pin out and saw that it wasn't budging so gave up out of fear of bending the shaft. Thanks again for sharing this really useful information.
  18. yeow. that looks like a real job. The wires running to the ball drive on my motors are much thinner and fragile looking. Thanks for documenting and sharing this. A really valuable resource.
  19. looking forward to the photos on the variable speed motor rebuild.
  20. Ducan, this is really valuable information and I am so glad you are taking the time to document what you are doing and sharing it. Once you have posted the photos etc for the variable speed motor, could you re-post everything you have shared here (especially changing the rubber drive!) under separate new posts so it will be easier to find in the future. There is so little information about the workings of the arriflex camera out there.
  21. That is so great. I had actually written to Sean Charlesworth about whether this was possible but was discouraged from doing it but it seemed like a feasible idea to me (of course, my attempt probably wouldn't have gone as smooth as yours!). My camera is a later model where full disassembly is the norm for this procedure. Excelllent. Thanks for sharing this.
