  3. Hello everyone! I just found on sale in Japan a CANON K-35 K-300 27-300mm F4.5 Zoom. I used to have the 25-120mm T2.8, but I have never heard about this long one before. Does anybody know it?
  4. This lens is in excellent optical condition: it's rare to find such a clean 25mm Series III lens with high serial number starting with a 7, making it among the last made, since you won't find any Panchro serial numbers starting with an 8. I'd say this is an excellent candidate for rehousing (ex. TLS). While it has a *tiny* amount of contamination (barely visible), that would be cleaned out during a rehousing. There's only the lightest/smallest cleaning marks (light scratches in the coatings) in the front/rear elements. No haze, no fungus, no yellowing, no oil on the iris blades, no scratches or cracks or pits that I can see. Mechanically, focus and iris are reasonably smooth, but I would always recommend rehousing. I shot a project on a set of freshly serviced (but unrehoused) CSP lenses years ago and they all exhibited some image shift when pulling focus - and I'd guess this lens would be the same. I ended up planning all my shots without focus pulls. This lens is Arri Standard Mount. TLS makes a very nice Arri Standard to PL adapter (Duclos Lenses sell it in the US). But as I said, I always recommend rehousing. In my experience, the PL mount adapters only make the focus movement less smooth, and they sometimes collide with internal baffles on cameras, like Alexas. This lens has been kept in a lens dry box (electronic humidity controlled) since I bought it in mid-2019, and I never got to actually use it besides a quick test. The previous owner clearly had it serviced with fresh yellow paint and focus gear added, but I don't know what year that was, and I noticed there's a bit of a gap where the gear screws together (it may just needs tightening). Front and rear lens caps included. I'd prefer an in-person NYC sale. I can also ship within the U.S. (2nd preference) or abroad (3rd preference) if you pay the PayPal fees and shipping with insurance. I may also be able to coordinate an in-person sale in Los Angeles through a friend. Pictures: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmXbqKyb
  5. I want to apologize, I'm not at all well-versed in tripod/head gear. What I just received in the mail from an online auction is a Gitzo Studex tripod with a Miller Super 8 fluid head. I chose this mainly for the brand reputation and the "super 8" name- that's what I'm shooting on. There are no real issues with it. The tilting action is smooth and it even pans smoothly, if a little slowly. However I don't see a mechanism for the panning. It seems to me it is just rotating on the mount screw threading. Is this its intended use? I ask because there is still a possibility of return. Also, I may change tripods later and would still need a good panning function. Hope that's clear. Thanks.
  6. I know there are many Krasnogorsk haters on this forum but I wanted to share this awesome project by Russian DP Max Ivanov. It's been 2 years in the works and so much effort has been put into this with a ton of custom machined parts and boards. Here are the specs as shared on the Instagram page for the project: - Camera works with 7-12V batteries (it has a 2-pin lemo connector for power input) - Swiss 100 watt BLDC Motor. (BLDC motors have longer service life and were installed on the Aaton A Minima, XTR Prod, Arri 416.) - Motor controlled and stabilized by a microcontroller - Sync is accurate to 0.001fps at 25fps. (between 0.01-0.001 at other framerates) - Framerates: 1-50 fps - Video tap is based on GoPro internals which allows to record the tap feed in-camera. (Max said he will be adding a cable clamp / adapter since it uses the unreliable micro-hdmi connection from the gopro internals) - Optical viewfinder can be used at the same time as the video tap - Wi-Fi control which allows to set framerate and run/stop wirelessly via your phone - Electronic footage counter. (Maintains footage count after being powered off and has a reset button) - Super 16 gate with ground glass adjustment mechanism. FFD can now be easily tuned and will be precisely set on every model. Max will also be selling a set of tools for calibrating the FFD on this camera so you will be able to calibrate it yourself (I can already hear some of you complaining about how nobody should attempt to do this on their own unless they're a trained technician) - Super 16 viewfinder with correct markings - PL Mount Obviously not a camera for every situation, like narrative projects or basically anything with dialogue. However, I think it's perfect for more abstract projects like music videos or fashion films, especially when you need to move fast and do dynamic handheld stuff. I have one preordered and am super excited to test it out once it's ready! (I think the current eta is March/April)
  7. VINTAGE ULTRASCOPE ANAMORPHIC LENS SET CLICK HERE FOR PICTURES Set of four vintage anamorphic lenses Ultrascope 40mm f2, 50mm f2, 85mm f2, 135mm f4 All lenses are in arriflex standard mount. The back spherical lenses are Zeiss on the 50-85-135, and Cooke speed panchro II on the 40mm. This set was completely cleaned, lubricated and checked for collimation in 2018 by Visual Products, copy of the report is available. As far glass conditions, some of the lenses do show some cleaning marks on the coating. The set is rare and a fantastic vintage set to say the least. I tested it, please check the screen shots done on my Red Dragon in 4k, using different F stops per each lens. Link below. https://vimeo.com/310163880/34b5d77289 All the lenses do perform beautifully, offering a nice warm effect typical of these old anamorphic lenses, and they are relatively fast compared with other modern ones. They could be converted to hard PL mount by V.P. for an additional cost of $810 per ea. lens, inclusive of focus gear. Price the full set $57,000 + shipping fedex I will be visiting the Las Vegas NAB show in April, and if you are seriously interested, I will have them with me!! Hit me up with any questions you might have! ****NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING SORRY****

  9. Tribe7 Blackwing Set X6 T tuned Custom T tuned 20.7mm, 27mm, 37mm, 57mm, 77mm, 107mm $125,000 omar@raw-entertainment.com This set are all T tuned. Custom T tuned. They are very special set. when the lenses were made the owner had some adjustments made to the standard tunings. The edge fall off is slightly different And the contrast and flares too But they are very similar to T tuning with a special upgrade. That’s why this set is one of a kind. Here are more details of the set. 20.7mm - Boutique lens manufacturer Tribe 7 has added a brand new 20.7mm prime lens to their current Blackwing line of primes. The 20.7mm is now the widest lens in the set. It remains T1.9 like the rest of the set which is respectably fast. 27mm - 1960’s Retrofocus construction Sigma WIDEMAX Asahi Super TAKUMAR 37mm- 1950’s retrofocus construction R1 Angenieux 35mm f/2.5 “I used the 37 for a flashback memory sequence on the upcoming Brave New World show; I found the lens at T1.8 to be so magical, so painterly, so evocative and unique. BLACKWING7 lenses allow for total artistic expression in cinema.” ANDRIJ PAREKH, ASC. 10. Hi, so I found a set of ultrascope anamorphic lenses going for a really good price and despite the lenses being advertised for super 35, the spherical blocks of the 40, 50, and 85mm in the set cover full frame, but the thing I don't know is whether the anamorphic blocks with the spherical blocks also cover full frame in those focal lengths. So that's why I wanted to ask, has anyone tried either and or the 40mm, 50mm, and 85mm ultrascope anamorphics on a full frame camera like the Alexa LF or mini LF or just any full frame camera and if you did, does it cover full frame?
  11. Canon FD 24mm F1.4 L The glass and the body are in stunning condition. FD 24mm F1.4L Canon FD 55mm F1.2 S.S.C. Aspherical Beautiful and very unique lens. The glass and body are in great condition with a little wear from the age. FD 55mm 1.2 SSC Aspherical DM please and make a reasonable offer for either or both. I have more FDs I'm open to selling if you're interested please reach out.
  12. 32mm Cooke Speed Panchro (T2.3) For Sale. Arri Standard Mount. Serial Number starts with a 5. I also have a 75mm CSP that I'm selling, listed here separately. I'm asking USD $2,200 for this lens. Preference will be given if there's a buyer who wants to buy both lenses together. I popped it on my Panasonic S1H and unsurprisingly, it doesn't cover Full Frame (see portholing picture in the photo album). This is a Super 35 lens, although there's a bit of darkening at the edges noticeable on these S35 4:3 aspect ratio shots, but it's *barely* noticeable in 16:9, especially if you're not shooting white walls, and certainly not noticeable in anything wider like 2:1 or 2.35:1. Typical of Cooke Speed Panchros of this vintage, it has some light coating scratches in the front and rear elements, (including one deeper scratch near the edge of the front element, see pictures) but nothing that would affect the image. Duclos told me there's some haze and contamination (see picture) in the optics, and some oil on the iris blades as well. It could use a service, or rehousing somewhere like P+S or TLS. I've included a few shots (of the camera operator figurine from a low angle), shot at T2.3 (Wide Open), T2.8, T4, and T5.6. If you're close enough in Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens, I can deliver by Uber. Or I can ship. Uploaded file size limits here are pretty small, so I'm going to see if linking to a photo album works: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmPk26hi
  13. For sale is a rare 75mm in excellent condition. Arri Standard Mount. It doesn't say "Series II" on it, so I'm pretty sure it's a Series I. Serial Number starts with a 5. I also have a 32mm Series II CSP that I'm selling - I think I'll make a separate post for that. I popped this on my Panasonic S1H and unsurprisingly, it covers Full Frame (two pictures attached). Typical of Cooke Speed Panchros of this vintage, it has some very light coating scratches in the front and rear elements, but nothing that would affect the image in any way. This is a very good candidate for rehousing at TLS. If you're close enough in Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens, I can deliver by Uber. Or I can ship. Uploaded file size limits here are pretty small, so I'm going to see if linking to a photo album works: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmPjYQy9
  14. Hi! So I've got a few special lenses I am about to sell, or at least some of them. All of them are in excellent condition. Located in Vienna, Austria / but can send them anywhere you want. So here we go: Leica Leitz APO Summicron R 180mm f2.0 Very rare, and very beautiful. Would make an excellent addition to a Summilux-C or Summicron-C Set. It is in nearly perfect condition. Also this will cover larger than FF, this is an impressive lens & will be especially impressive on formats like Alexa 65 etc. Two very slight marks on the body a minimal short hairline scratch at the front glas - just saw it when having it inspected at the Leica Store. Would invest in a PL conversion in no time if I would have a project for it. Aperture & Focus runs smoothly no fungus no haze. Will be sold by the Leica Store Vienna to a much higher price, beginning in one week or so - so this is the chance to buy directly from me. Make me a realistic offer. Prices on Ebay are 6k-9k €. Iscorama - Anamorphot 1.5x 42 MC Very rare, and very beautiful as well. I don't know how it was possible, but I've got two of them. Just pops up on ebay every few years or so. I'm fine with only having one. In perfect condition. Focus runs smoothly no fungus no haze. Value is hard to tell, since it doesn't get sold very often. I guess around 4-5k €. Iscorama - Anamorphot pre 36 non MC The classic Iscorama everyone is looking for. In very good condition. Just the plastic housing looks a bit grey, but optically excellent. Focus runs smoothly no fungus no haze. 3.5k € Rollei Carl Zeiss Distagon & Planar 1.4/35 & 1.4/85 (FF, triangular Aperture) - Vintage Full Frame Slightly different in coating to the well known Contax Zeiss Lenses (but still match well to them) but their killer feature is the triangular aperture. Like B-Speeds but these are Full Frame. Just got inspected by a lens technician. Excellent condition. Can be easily adapted to EF if necessary. Also have the Rolleiflex 6006 - an awesome 35mm analogue camera, if you are interested in these. Was a quite remarkable system at the time, where you could change the filmstocks, like with medium format bodies. 2.2k € for both lenses Canon FD 55mm SSC 1.2 - Vintage Full Frame I've got the ASPH version as well. Didn't see much of a difference, apart from that this is not yellowing, because it got no thorium in it. This lens is Mint, I wouldn't want to take it in the field :D. 400€ Canon FD 35mm SSC 2.8 TS (Tilt Shift) - Vintage Full Frame Vintage Tilt Shift - so it covers much larger then Full Frame. Mint! 700€ Canon FD 100mm 4.0 Makro - Vintage Full Frame Solid Makro lens - not that rare, but this is mint! 150€ Open to reasonable offers, can send images - just contact me. Thanks! Best, Patrick

  16. Hi Guys, We are a production company based in Geneva, Switzerlan, and we've got a beautiful set of 6x Zeiss Standard Speed T2.1 to sell. Our set is immaculate and we've taken care of. We need to raise fund to buy a new set of lenses, that's why we sell it and we are very sad because we loved those glasses. Everything is perfect with them. The only thing to notice is that the 24mm is not hard PL but Arri B with an adapter. You can see on the pictures that the 40mm has a dust particle in the middle but it does not affect the image at all and it will be clean. Before the shipping to their new owner, the lenses will be CLA by Lahaziz of Lenziz Optics in Paris, a great technician who workes for Angénieux and Panavision. Pictures here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=192qYmCYZgSsxKzD9bQfWAYlyI5dZ9VjZ The lenses come with the Pelicase for 23'000€
  17. Can anyone please help me identify a two (round) pin (plus earth 'flange') connector on an RCA Holywood cine projector. The plug (though the plug contains copper pin sockets) has Nettle T80120 written on it. The plug is 120/240v and there is one socket on the projector (with copper pins) as well as earth 'blocks'. There is also a transformer with a plug (bakelite-falling apart) and I also need another plug (to standard three pin uk plug) to plug into the transformer to provide 240v. For images of the socket and the plug, please see: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XC-CEt4hgsNrMVI-tXjdva_kQ3HN9pnC/view?usp=sharing I'd be particularly interested if there is a modern (i.e. non bakelite) version available. Thank you Andy

  19. Hello fellow shooters! I've gathered some special lenses over the years, which I now need to depart from, for a documentary film project which needs some funding. Not in need to sell them all, so please be kind with your offers. Century Precision Optics 6mm T1.9 Series 2000 Super 16 Arri PL Mount Film Lens Glass is in excellent condition, no fungus, nothing visible inside the lens. Some sings of use on the mount and also on the outer body. Arri Zeiss Superspeed Planar 50mm 1.2 PL T Coating S16 but Covers S35 (tested on Sony F55, Arri Alexa Mini, Canon C300 MkII) Focus and Aperture are very smooth. No haze or fungus. Some dust - but normal. Only downside is there are circular cleaning marks/hairline scratches on the front glass, which don‘t show when shooting with it. It covers not only S16 but also S35 which essentially makes it the cheapest S35 Arri HS 50mm lens and matches the „B-Speeds“. LEICA LEITZ 50MM F1.4 SUMMILUX-R E60 ROM it‘s in perfect condition. clean, no scratches, dust, fungus or anything. focus & aperture run smoothly. last e60 rom version of 1998. this is some really rare lens in this condition and looks beautiful! Cooke Speed Panchro 32mm Ser II Mechanics are good, has collected some dust and particles inside, but don't show in the images. A little yellowish, but not as much as others that age. Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 1:2,8 Zoom - 22-154 This zoom covers S35. It is a prototype, but actually works well. It currently has no mount, but can easily be adapted. One inner lens has separation. Also one inner lens has a small peck. Both of these issues only visible in the bokeh. This lens is quite unique. Probably more of a collectors item, but when someone services it, this thing has awesome specs!

A nice complementary set, all in PL mount: 3x Carl Zeiss and 1x Panther Carl Zeiss Distagon 8mm T* 2.1T Carl Zeiss Distagon 16mm T* 1.3T Carl Zeiss Distagon 25mm T* 1.3T Panther Cinar Super 16 35mm 1.3T Information on the Panther: "in the 1990s Panther got these lenses custom made in small batches. Since there is no 35mm lens in the Zeiss lens set for Super16 and since the 8mm Zeiss lens would not cover Super16 it makes sense to get such lenses custom made to complement a Zeiss lens set." £3800 for the set.
