  1. VINTAGE ULTRASCOPE ANAMORPHIC LENS SET CLICK HERE FOR PICTURES Set of four vintage anamorphic lenses Ultrascope 40mm f2, 50mm f2, 85mm f2, 135mm f4 All lenses are in arriflex standard mount. The back spherical lenses are Zeiss on the 50-85-135, and Cooke speed panchro II on the 40mm. This set was completely cleaned, lubricated and checked for collimation in 2018 by Visual Products, copy of the report is available. As far glass conditions, some of the lenses do show some cleaning marks on the coating. The set is rare and a fantastic vintage set to say the least. I tested it, please check the screen shots done on my Red Dragon in 4k, using different F stops per each lens. Link below. https://vimeo.com/310163880/34b5d77289 All the lenses do perform beautifully, offering a nice warm effect typical of these old anamorphic lenses, and they are relatively fast compared with other modern ones. They could be converted to hard PL mount by V.P. for an additional cost of $810 per ea. lens, inclusive of focus gear. Price the full set $57,000 + shipping fedex I will be visiting the Las Vegas NAB show in April, and if you are seriously interested, I will have them with me!! Hit me up with any questions you might have! ****NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING SORRY****
  2. Hi Guys, We are a production company based in Geneva, Switzerlan, and we've got a beautiful set of 6x Zeiss Standard Speed T2.1 to sell. Our set is immaculate and we've taken care of. We need to raise fund to buy a new set of lenses, that's why we sell it and we are very sad because we loved those glasses. Everything is perfect with them. The only thing to notice is that the 24mm is not hard PL but Arri B with an adapter. You can see on the pictures that the 40mm has a dust particle in the middle but it does not affect the image at all and it will be clean. Before the shipping to their new owner, the lenses will be CLA by Lahaziz of Lenziz Optics in Paris, a great technician who workes for Angénieux and Panavision. Pictures here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=192qYmCYZgSsxKzD9bQfWAYlyI5dZ9VjZ The lenses come with the Pelicase for 23'000€
  3. Hello fellow shooters! I've gathered some special lenses over the years, which I now need to depart from, for a documentary film project which needs some funding. Not in need to sell them all, so please be kind with your offers. Century Precision Optics 6mm T1.9 Series 2000 Super 16 Arri PL Mount Film Lens Glass is in excellent condition, no fungus, nothing visible inside the lens. Some sings of use on the mount and also on the outer body. Arri Zeiss Superspeed Planar 50mm 1.2 PL T Coating S16 but Covers S35 (tested on Sony F55, Arri Alexa Mini, Canon C300 MkII) Focus and Aperture are very smooth. No haze or fungus. Some dust - but normal. Only downside is there are circular cleaning marks/hairline scratches on the front glass, which don‘t show when shooting with it. It covers not only S16 but also S35 which essentially makes it the cheapest S35 Arri HS 50mm lens and matches the „B-Speeds“. LEICA LEITZ 50MM F1.4 SUMMILUX-R E60 ROM it‘s in perfect condition. clean, no scratches, dust, fungus or anything. focus & aperture run smoothly. last e60 rom version of 1998. this is some really rare lens in this condition and looks beautiful! Cooke Speed Panchro 32mm Ser II Mechanics are good, has collected some dust and particles inside, but don't show in the images. A little yellowish, but not as much as others that age. Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 1:2,8 Zoom - 22-154 This zoom covers S35. It is a prototype, but actually works well. It currently has no mount, but can easily be adapted. One inner lens has separation. Also one inner lens has a small peck. Both of these issues only visible in the bokeh. This lens is quite unique. Probably more of a collectors item, but when someone services it, this thing has awesome specs!

  7. Hey everyone! If you have a spare moment, check out this 2min film I shot called ‘Land of Steel’. Shot on ARRI Amira using COOKE S2 Panchros. Vintage lenses re-engineered by TLS (40+ year old glass in modern housing) Shot in Port Talbot late last year. With Blade Runner (1982), Ridley Scott drew his vision of the future from this surreal and vast location. 8. Hello everyone, 4 lenses for sale, in excellent working condition. A nice complementary set, all in PL mount: 3x Carl Zeiss and 1x Panther Carl Zeiss Distagon 8mm T* 2.1T Carl Zeiss Distagon 16mm T* 1.3T Carl Zeiss Distagon 25mm T* 1.3T Panther Cinar Super 16 35mm 1.3T Information on the Panther: "in the 1990s Panther got these lenses custom made in small batches. Since there is no 35mm lens in the Zeiss lens set for Super16 and since the 8mm Zeiss lens would not cover Super16 it makes sense to get such lenses custom made to complement a Zeiss lens set." £3800 for the set.

  12. Hey Guys, So i've been tasked in DoP'ing a music video next month and at the directors request, he want's that 70's style look, as we shall be re-creating a 'top of the pops' style performance for the band. My references for this sort of thing are basically anything Bruno mars has put out over the past 4 years: Bruno Mars - Treasure: Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man: and... Pheonix - J Boy: Ideally, due to budget restraints, it would have to be digital and as we'll be renting off a friend for a silly price, so it will most probably be an Epic. However i'm aware 16mm would of been ideal for this. So my question is, setting aside camera movement etc, what would you suggest for the 'look'? I'm quite set on hiring some Tiffen star filters for the star effects and throwing a 1/2 pro mist in the mix to bloom the highlights on an old vintage zoom, but what would you suggest for de-grading the quality of the image? Thanks in advance, Nick www.nicholasleeshield.com

  14. Hey guys, I'm a 24 year old Cinematographer living in Seven Sisters, London. I recently shot a film called The Mechanic. Its a 60 second doc about Bo Hare, a mechanic and engineer working in rural England, who finds pleasure in the restoration of classic cars. Shot on a Blackmagic Ursa 4K with mixed tungsten and practical fluro lights, i'm a cinematographer, but I directed this as well as shot it. Drone shots on a DJI Inspire 3 Adv. Used vintage nikon AI-S primes to shoot everything, very much recommended if you are on a budget, tons of character, they flare beautifully. There is going to be a longer version forthcoming, but this cut dives straight in to the character and is hopefully an intriguing minute! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6oVWtugUyo Its for a competition running by Sony Europe where I could win a camera, so if you enjoyed it please like it on youtube..! :) Feel free to shoot with any questions or thoughts! 16. RED WEAPON WITH HAWK C-SERIES: THE NEW MEETS THE VINTAGE. This week I would like to share one of my last experiences on set where I got the chance to use a cinema camera and a set of lenses for the first time. On one side, and I don’t exactly know why, it was an incredible long time since I used for the last time a RED camera and I didn’t had tried yet the “new” (even though there is already a newer model out there called Raven) 6K Weapon; plus, I did had seen the Hawk C-Series, but just in rental houses promotional meetings, and we all know that an actual set is a totally different environment. THE CAMERA Truth is that from quiet a few points of view I was gratefully surprised by the camera, since comparing to the RED Dragon it features severals tools that, if you want my two cents, are a consistent improvement, both in the operation of the camera as a 1AC and the performance of the camera itself. First of all... More information: http://www.camaleonrental.com/gb/blog/red-weapon-with-hawk-c-series-the-new-meets-the-vintage-n14

  19. Set of Cooke Speed Panchros ser. II and III, seven lenses in arri mount, 18-25-32-40-50-75-100, ser # they range from 5XXXXX to 7XXXXX. The 32mm has no focusing mount. Normal signs of usage, only the 40mm has more wear on the barrel. Glass does not have any scratches, some lenses do have irrelevant faint small cleaning marks. PICS HERE Price $19k
  20. Just got a complete set of the Cooke Speed Panchro ser II + III's, all geared: 18-25-32-40-50-75-100mm D.F.) All lenses have serial numbers above 700000. Gently used, some lenses have light cleaning marks, minor specs of dust. Would consider offers for the six lenses 18-25-32-40-50-75 (without the 100mm D.F.) They all focus fine. Price $19.5k Pics here

  24. Hi. I'm testing some spherical primes made by Technovision and I'm wondering if anyone here knows what lenses their conversions were based on? The T-stop is 1.4 on all of them and they cover Full Frame. Zeiss? K35, but the T-stop doesn't match? The 25mm confuses me. Thanks, Robert Blom
  25. I'm due to be flying out to shoot a music vid in the next few weeks on the Arri Alexa Mini - I thought I'd pick the community brain to see if anyone has any great suggestions for lens choices to achieve the following kind of look.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gtdpnKbT10 We've had to rule out the option of shooting VHS/film/TV cameras etc. So I've got to get as close as I can using the right sort of lens and filters (plus there'll be haze too which'll help) - we'll be hiring in LA, so if anyone suggest a particular vintage lens that's hard to get hold of then it'd be great to know if you know of a local rental house that may stock it? The main things we're looking to achieve are - As close to the look as possible using lens/filters/haze/grade - The ability to zoom mid shot, all adding to that retro effect, so ideally something with a large zoom range and ideally parfocal. At the moment I'm thinking an Angenieux 24-290 purely because of the range - I know she's a beast but I'll be on sticks the whole time. Plus something like a Glimmerglass 1/2 or 1 or possibly even a Hollywood Star filter to really make those light sources pop. I've not used nets before, so I'm a bit hesitant to experiment too much on the job so ideally glass suggestion if possible :-) Are there any watchouts I should be aware of? I've learnt a huge amount from you guys so it'd be really great to get the forums advice and ideas :-) Huge thanks in advance, Matt.
