Chris Burke
it is a little high of a price. Have a clip test done.
Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted October 25, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted October 25, 2018 They'll be super noisy. If it were 35mm I'd say ok... but for 16, na..
Vince Sweeney
That Reala in 16mm is really grainy when new. At this point it would look like a CRT screen with no signal!

Webster Colcord
I just got gifted a bunch of film, some of which was from the 90's and all of it frozen. We tested some 5247 and it looks great. I would say that if this was really frozen all this time then it's probably ok. Also, $47 for 400ft. is a bargain when a 100ft. roll of new stock from Kodak is around $50. But yeah, those speeds are inherently grainy.
Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted October 25, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted October 25, 2018 could be used for special projects for sure! if you have for example a project which requires "old Super8" looking footage you could use that old stock and 16mm cameras for that :) (would need to clip test for sure. remjet may also sometimes stick and spot the emulsion if film is frozen and old)
