Thank you very much for your answer. I think I phrased my question wrong and I apologize. I know it about the 2/3' sensor coverage circle and I have been using this type of lens for standard 16mm for a long time. Of course they don't cover S16, only the 1' and I have a few of those primes as well. I was just wondering if anyone had used this lens specifically. After a few tests, I managed to set the focus of this lens without any problem (fixed setting, for an 8mm!...) and I'm very happy because, after a few careful tests because of the slight protrusion at the rear of the lens, I see that it fits perfectly it fits perfectly on my ACL and the image is particularly sharp. It also fits on my Filmo and Keystone, so it's a lucky day!

Hi, I got a nice Cinegon 1.4/8, seems OK and cover 2/3 sensor,, but it do not focus when I put on my camera. I didn't found anything about this lens on the forum. Unless you absolutely want to do EVERYTHING with one camera, the filmo 70 (DR is the best in my opinion) is mostly a camera for low focal lengths, because precise focusing always requires a little maneuver which is not always the most practical. While the shorter focal lengths allow easily the use of the hyperfocal. The available viewfinders are 10mm/12.5/13/17/20/25/40/50/70/100 and 150mm. As mentioned above, this is a very handy camera with primes, not with zoom lenses. Possibility to make multiexposure too. It is a fantastic camera, with a side pressure plate, the only spring loaded camera to have this technology. On the contrary, if you are looking for the use of tele, the K3 that you own (to stay in the same price range) is very practical for that, because it is reflex. As far as I know, it seems that K3 (bayonet) and SP16 is same mount and some of SP16 lenses can fit on K3, especially 10mm. https://bioskoplab.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/alexk3.jpg by the way, hard to find. Otherwise, you got 12.5/20 and 50mm primes for K3.

I see that this is no small matter and that I will indeed need a little luck to succeed. That being said, I would like this objective to still work "after". After further inspection of the problem, the rear lens is also marked by fungus, and finally the front of the mobile unit inside. So I would have to do a complete disassembly. Hi all, I got a nice spring driven Beaulieu R16. Motor is quite OK after a while and many oil. But the image is very blurry, and dark. I was thinking Gougle was full of tips about this camera, but not so many. Does anybody know how to clean it up, or a link which explain that ? Many thanks, Philippe

You can fin Filmo finders on Ebay for 15 to 50 € (or dollars, quite the same). In Ebay/ Europe it is easy to find. viewfinders available: 10mm, 13, 16, 17.5 (0.7″), 20, 25, 40 (quite unusual), 50, 70, 75, (100 and 150mm I think). Not less than 10mm.

Hi, Does anybody knows if modifying GIC 16mm cameras speed is possible, or ever done ? As far as I know, they just run à 16 fps, what is not common or handy. But they are very little cameras, with just 15m spools, more handy than B&H magazine... Many thanks for your answers, Philippe

Hi Brett, Yes, you're right, wide is a problem with K3. If you like it so much, you can go with a camera like a Bell & Howell Filmo 70 DR, wich is better choice (at the same price) because of itc c-mount. No, it is possible to focus with the Meteor zoom as close as you want. Juste unscrew it smoothly and focus as you want. It is so simple than that. And the meteor is tip top even à F/2... Yes, 17mm doesn't seem very wide nowadays, but by my thought, it is OK for most inside shots. You can get to persons in the frame with no problem, focusing as close as you want by my little trick, even with low light at 8 or 12 fps... OK, all is in the tittle. I leave in France, but nowadays it can be easier to send it far away to the right person. I bought it at a very low price on Ebay with a set of filters (100x100). But it rate 2800 K° in front of a new redbeam, and 4800 for a cloudy sky. So it's clear that it's all lower than what it would be. Don't know if it is just a calibration issue or perhaps the head is dead. So now I look for the right doctor, hoping it will not be too expensive... Many thanks for your answers ! Phil

Sorry for this stupid question, but anyone knows 25mm f/1.4 cooke ivotal filter diameter ? I have seen something between 32 and 32.5 with the caliper, so I suppose it is 32.5mm ? It is some pretty old lens, but very crisp and no indication on it...

For some time, I wonder what led to the failure of the S16 Ikonoskop. The idea of ​​creating a simple new S16 camera, even rustic, light and inexpensive really seemed like a good idea. Yet the configuration in which was issued this camera had almost no success, and we understand why: a camera with which it is impossible to focus is virtually unusable camera. I do not myself would have bought it even if I had had money enough. Certainly, one can use wide lenses, but we can not impose on anyone to use only one type of lens. The choice of the focal length with which we work is really part of writing. While alternative SLR / DSLR was actually an expensive alternative, it was possible simply enough to provide a multifocal viewfinder with parallax correction and the opportunity to focus when not shooting, through a simple device like borescope or critical focuser as on the filmo 70. It seems to me that if the engineers who designed this camera just wanted to make these changes, sales could restart. Unfortunately, they seem to be interested only in the digital version of this camera ... (Please, be kind with my poor english, translated by net)

Hi Richard, found that old post. I am very interseted too in these little autoload 200. I learn here that Kiev magazines are single perf and fit the Bell & Howell.
