Hi there, I am new here, hello! ?My first question is about an Arriflex SR2 mag I just bought. I have a SR2 that was moified for S16 long time ago. Now I would like to know what modification I would need to do to use a normal SR mag with my camera. Is it only the pressure plate or are there any other modifications that I need to go through? I read somewhere that the tunnels must be widened but I dont really see why because the material is the same, isn't it? ? Yours, D.C.

Hello everyone, I am seeking for examples of filter use on 16 mm, anything from glimmer, black promist to effect filters (stars ...etc) will do. If movies also pop in mind don't hesitate ? I am in research for an upcoming 16 mm video (dance performance, with natural light) that we'll shot with the aaton xtr , 7219 film, zeiss 12 mm & zeiss zoom 12-120 (by mind). Anyone ever try speed ramps on a 416 using an RCU-1? The 416 doesn't have an electronic shutter right? So you would need some type of device to calculate the Iris pull as the speed ramp happens?

I very much love my CP-16. I found at an incredibly low price a Arri B/standard to CP mount adapter - it's the unit that Visual Products sold a while back. So, where have all the Arri B/Standard mount lenses gone? I'm looking to build a prime kit. I would like to find a normal or wide to start with, 25mm or 18mm or so. For that matter, where are all of the CP primes? I'm totally open to using Russian glass as well, provided I don't need to completely rehouse the lenses. For those that might be tempted: No, I would rather not sell my cp-16 and buy (insert name of "better" camera here). For that matter, I don't wish to purchase a new set of whatever for $60,000... I also refuse to pay $5000 for a single 50 year old prime. If it comes to that I'll just buy a new one. Not trying to be hateful, just where my thoughts are currently. Edit: I may not be totally opposed to changing the camera to PL mount, if that's the way things just... "are".

Hello I just got back some super16 footage from the lab and the scan from one roll is showing scratches on the right side. I was very surprised by this, since we were using a magazine that caused no problems in previous footage on the same project. I can't think of anything out of the ordinary that might have happened during the shooting this day to cause such a big damage. We shot with an Arri SR3 that was well maintained and maybe no weird noises. I'm already double checking with the lab if this is really in the negative or if there's any chance that it's due to a malfunction during the scan but would love to get another opinion. hey yall I am curious about some of the the features of the SRH3. Does it have backpan compensation? also the roll axis specs say 90+-. is it 90 degrees of roll in both directions or 90 degrees total? and is that 90 degrees of roll active no matter in which orientation it is mounted? anyone have experience with this head and can tell me about how well the stabilization works? also looks like only a little bit of clearance, so probably only stripped down bodies, rite? brett.
