Cheapest place to get 16mm film in the US?

I just purchased a 16mm camera and i need film, i was checking out bh.com and the prices for 100' of 16mm seemed too high compared to unexpired film on ebay. What do you guys recommend?

I recommend calling up Kodak directly, getting friendly with a rep there and seeing what they can do for you. It's the route I normally go.

The Kodak route is probably the best to ensure fresh stock but dont expect a great deal. Right now a rep is offering me just slightly higher than student rates on 7230/5230. For 19' stock, dont expect less than about $140/roll delivered. I was informed from my rep that the days of deep discounts and comp stock are over. Kodak has to tighten their budget.

 

So if you need seriously deep discounts, go eBay or short ends/recans. If you can afford retail but expect a small discount, contact Kodak directly.

If it's to test then Ebay is fine. If you care about the project buy fresh stock...it will be worth it

 

Also, ORWO is cheeper for B/W than Kodak.

not sure what the US to UK exchange rate is like at the moment but unless it's a typo Fuji UK are doing 400ft for under £30!

If fuji had been doing that a few years ago I might have shot a lot more film.

If you had shot film a few years ago Fuji may not have stopped producing motion picture film , so i blame you Phil for the end ! :)
