What are the rest of your lights balanced to? Tungsten or Daylight?
If you want that general warm sunlight blast then I'd suggest playing around with varying degrees of CTO gel in order to achieve the precise look you want. They also have ND+CTO gels that could help.
Worked heavily and closely on the audio and direction portions of projects with said Cartoon Network animators who just got back to me and said your actor claim is going overboard. You should hire them, here's a reel!
It's like calling a painter a model. I feel like he watched some documentary where an animator was getting really philosophical with some analogy to engage the audience and Tim took it and ran with it far more literally than intended.
Then I'd probably go with C300. Red definitely looks nicer to most, but it has more of a tendency to overheat when self-recording for longer stretches of time.
A bigger question I should be asking is: why do we as cinematographers have to choose between Gold mount or V-mount batteries? It's like VHS and Betamax battling for 20+ years.
Is there some history on this I'm ignorant to?
Me personally, I feel like gold mount has a more secure locking mechanism so can't see why V-mount still exists.
No, but the SSD rear module that allows any recording format, Prores and the rest, is ridiculously convenient. I don't understand why anyone bothers with CFast when that module exists.
Fair enough. Is anyone else experiencing the notification bell not lighting up when a reply is posted in a followed thread?
Just making sure everything is covered.
Thanks for putting the change in, Tim!
Not sure if this was a default setting, but is there any way to revert it back so there isn't automatic double spacing?
One possibility is soft boxing a very bright source and running a black layer with circles cut out over it.
So then it's achievable with an LED or Kino or something. You just need to make sure the exposure is set in a way where your faux maxi looks super bright to both conceal your construction and get a similar affect a real brute would provide. Cinematographers might be able to tell but the average viewer will be clueless.
Hey so SxS cards are honestly way too much money for what they do.
Could anyone provided suggestions on how they get the most space out of SxS slots? SD card adapter? Something that goes out to an SSD?
Open to anything, thanks!
