Hello! I am new to cinematography.com but very much enjoy getting to know the community! So I have a few lenses I would sell or trade - one is this - in my opinion really amazing S16 wide angle: I just don't use it often enough - so better off with someone who might need it regularly. Century Precision Optics 6mm T1.9 Series 2000 Super 16 Arri PL Mount Film Lens Super wide angle lens for Super 16 or cropped Sensors (like Red, F55, Blackmagic Pocket or S16 film etc). Very fast at T 1.9 with as little distortion as possible for a lens that wide. Has nearly 330 degrees focus throw and works like a charm. Arri PL mount, smooth focus and aperture gears. Glass is in excellent condition, no fungus, nothing visible inside the lens. Some sings of use on the mount and also on the outer body (as you see in the images). This is a professional and solid lens - excellent built quality and excellent visual performance. Should there be any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'd like to find a 2-perf, 3-perf or Super 16 camera. My budget is $3,000-5,000. My first choice would be for a 2-perf with a lens, second choice is a 3-perf with lens and third choice is a Super 16 with a lens. My range on price is with the expectation that a 2-per or 3-perf with a lens is going to be on the high end of my budget while a Super 16 with no lens should be at the low end. Of course if someone has an Arricam ST 2-perf with some Cooke lenses they like to sell me for $3,000, I'd be happy to be proven wrong on my price estimates. :D Seriously, if I'm way off on my price expectations, please let me know. If you have a film camera that's been sitting unused or under utilized, please consider dusting it off and sending it to a good home. I have a short I'd like to shoot in December with kids from the local theater club and crew from the local University. If we can pull that off, we've got plans for a feature to shoot in June.

Hi guys I'm selling of my Super16 lenses (9.5mm, 16mm & 25mm), they are in great shape with both feet/meter on the focus-scale, they are all PL converted the lenses are T1.2 (although it says 1.3 on the iris-ring) No fungus or scratches, only normal sign of use Price: well i tried to find other adds on eBay and other forums, but found only a few and there the lenses was listed for around 2500 Euro each, but I'm up for reasonable offers i also have a clip-on matte box (chrozhiel) and loads of 4x4 filters that i used with this lenses, and a black magic pocket with PL-adapter and cage i planning to sell aswell I'm located in Gothenburg (Sweden) and can ship almost everywhere, but buyer pays the shipping cost

I've recently purchased my first S16 camera (Aaton XTR Prod) and I'm looking to make an investment in a zoom lens I can use for allround purposes and no-budget projects that I can still use on productions where we have the budget to rent e.g. Ultra16s, Super Speeds, S4s/SK4s - Hoping someone in here can give me some advice on the topic. I'm interested in a zoom that has the following properties: PL Mount Close focus of 0.75m or closer Has at least 12-30mm range Preferably ~T2.8 or faster Covers S16 fully For these requirements I've narrowed my options down to either: Angenieux HR 11.5-138 T2.3 Angenieux HR 7-81 T2.4 Cooke 10.4-52mm T2.8 (CVK) Cooke 10.8-60 T3* (CVK) Cooke 10-30 T1.6 (CVP) Cooke 9.5-53 T1.6 (CVT) Cooke 10.6-52 T1.65 (CVT) I didn't include the Canon Zooms as I don't feel like they give me the look I am going for. I also didn't include Zeiss Vario Sonnars in the list because their close focus is too far. But they may be workable with a diopter. I'm afraid of losing sharpness however. Any thoughts? Any other lenses that I might have missed in my research are much appreciated. Do you have any advice on these lenses. And which do you prefer?

Amazing Cooke 10.8-60 in PL Mount. Get the Cooke look at a fraction of the price. Originally a Cooke 9-50 for 16mm but modified for Super 16. The modification itself cost over $1500. Covers m4/3 and 2k on Red Dragon. Recently serviced and collomated by Du-All in NYC. Focus and zoom are geared. Laminated stickers provide the lens' modified focus range. This kit comes with a custom case, lens support and 8" 15mm rods. The glass is in amazing shape. There are a few specs of dust which you can refer to the images for but otherwise perfect shape. I am having trouble focusing my K3. I've just got some footage back, almost all of it is, at least very soft, a lot of it is clearly out of focus. This is the first batch I have filmed since the camera was converted to S16. The conversion used a re-centered lens mount. The previous footage filmed was much better (not 100% sharp but acceptable). I have used 3 lenses, all with the same problem, Meteor 16-79, Belomo (Peleng) 8mm, and a Sun Actinon 80-200mm. The image in the viewfinder doesn't seem to come into focus as it should. The zoom lenses are quite poor, especially at the extremes, but do seem better in the middle focal lengths. Could this be an issue with the new lens mounting ring being too thick or thin, causing the focusing plane to have shifted? Any other thoughts / experience? Thanks Glen

Time for me to sell one of my other Super16 camera : - 1 Bolex EL super 16 mm. Converted from normal 16 to S16 by Les Bosher, UK. Used, some small dents on the surface, but the camera works well. I shot one of my first documentary film with it. About settings : from 10 fps to 50 fps, film speed from 25 asa to 1600 asa, built-in lighmeter. Included : - 1 Bayonet to c mount adapter - 1 battery - 1 battery charger - 1 set of filters holder. Located in Europe. Price : 1000 euros. High res pictures on demand. ...I sent my Aaton XTR XC to England for service, battery recell etc before I start rolling with it and Alan tells me the camera can't be converted to Super16mm as the "gate and ground glass have been swapped for regular 16mm only"...... so I stopped to think.....is it really worth all the hassle converting to Super 16mm after all?... Am I going to shoot a film on 16mm film that's going to appear in a large cinema theatre screen........prob never....and if what I shoot appears on Vimeo, YouTube, and viewed on tablets and smartphones - ironically the iPad Pro screen is practically the 4 x 3 ratio - should I not just stick with standard 16mm format? .....would appreciate thoughts.....no idea on the costs at this point to get the parts I love it by the way.....the design and ergonomics and the feel of the Aaton...glad I bought it -

Made for Super16 cameras. In PL mount. The lens is in good condition and the mechanics are smooth. The front and back element has some tiny marks but given it's age it's still good. I'm selling my lovely Canon S16 vintage zoom lens. I think there is already said enough about this outstanding beautifully S16 zoom lens. Selling it because I need the money for some other investment. Don't think there is one of these zooms in better condition out there than my one - everything clean, everything smooth! The only thing what I can mention is, that there is a tiny cleaning mark on the rear glass which doesn't affect anything and it's even hard to recognize. Asking 2100 Euro + shipping costs! Hi there, I believe that this is probably something that has been discussed before. But I hope there are some new things that can be brought up with this question. I have an upcoming project in the fall, and the director and I have decided that we want to have the anamorphic look for a short we will be making. Now the flares are not the most important thing, but rather the vast image that we are going for. The problem is how to achieve it. First idea would be to use my own S16 Eclair ACL, with an PL adapter, and we were considering renting pure 1.33x anamorphics. But as far as I know, the only ones to rent at the Hawk's, and they would cost us pretty much the complete production budget to get a set. Second idea we had is to use a R16 Arriflex SR and put Kowa 2x on it. The real issue here would just be the wider shots, since we basically loose all the width in the image. Third idea is to invest in a Panasonic AG-LA7200 adapter, with a 0.25 diopter, and use B4 lenses on the ACL to get the image we are going for. I also have a person that can make a M4/3 adapter for the ACL, so any M4/3 solution would work as well, but honestly I am open to any ideas you might have. And yes, both me and director are 100% set on shooting on film stock. C
