    2C door

Hello, So I just got an anamorphic viewfinder part for my 2C and find that it doesn't fit all that well. It'll go in, but it can't seem to turn because it'll hit the round part protruding in there. Did Arri make a different door for anamorphic viewfinders?
  2. Hello Community ! (picture from the aaton ltr7 manual) - This might sound like basic questions but i must ask : 1) HOW DOES THE BEAM SPLITTER ON THE AATON LTR 7 WORKS what does the manual means by 'aaton VR30' system in the first paragraph ? 2) how do i know the one inside my LTR works ? how do i get the beam splitter signal out on a monitor ? 3) there is no connection whatsoever for video output on my ltr (no BNC - as it is sometimes apparent downside the magazine near the iso adjustment - or connector apparent near the beam splitter and so called aaton VR30), i do understand this beam splitter has an on/off position. I also do not possess the m3 allen wrench mentionned in the second paragraph but i can't even find the screw i should access to switch the BS position , or maybe it does not exist ? 4) Should i consider a better and easier alternative way to video tap on my aaton ltr7 with a micro camera through the viewfinder ? what camera and lense model is best suited for this configuration Thanks in advance, J aaton manual p20 png.zip
  3. looking to buy an Arri 235 universal viewfinder. Preferable to trade Spherical with plus price difference if someone has a 2 or 3 perf kit with universal and is willing to help out! Best, Andrei
  4. I have a Cinema Products CP-16r with fungus (or something?) on one of the internal elements of the viewfinder. It appears to be on the second element of the viewing (eye) side, as it does not change focus with the ground glass. Can anyone point me to a resource for proper disassembly? I have taken the thing apart but I CAN NOT seem to be able to remove the prizim covers, unless there is some secret after the two screws are removed. This is the one thing that does not seem to be covered in any of the available documentation. Before I spend money to replace it, I want to try to clean it! Thanks for any help you might have.
  5. Hi, I have got for sale Arri FE-4 long extension viewfinder for SR3 cameras. it’s in mint condition both optically and cosmetically Price: 400€ + shipping location: Slovakia, preferably ship to EU Can supply photos on request.
  6. I have for sale four Arri groundglasses. These are standard glasses, so from memory will fit a IIC or a 35III - but others might be able to put me straight on that. They're also great for many viewfinders, including the Kish UDF. 1. 'TV' (4:3) with mounting bracket. In excellent condition. 2. Another 4:3, no mounting bracket, some pencil marks where it has been marked up in a mystery ratio. Tiny mark bottom right, very clean otherwise. 3. 1:1.85, marked up to 16:9 (?) A chip on one side from bad handling, but it doesn't encroach into the picture area. Good for a viewfinder, or general use. No scratches/marks otherwise. 4. Probably a 4:3 but has been taped to 16:9 at some point. Apart from the tape residue (easily removed) it's in excellent condition too. Each one has a case - happy to sell separately or as a set, pickup or post. The going rate seems to be $150 (AUD) each, and $100 for the one with the mark. They're eyewateringly expensive new. But let's talk - I'm happy to negotiate for a package deal, or if these prices seem out of whack. Postage will be from Melbourne, Australia. Cheers, Jonathan. ( ** I only seem to be able to upload images of 2 of them - message me for more images **)

  8. Hi, Thank you for all the answers of my last topic. Now I have a question regarding the viewfinder of my SR2. There are some dirty spots in the frame when I look through it. The lens is clean so it must be the viewfinder. How can I clean it? Can I open / unscrew it from the body? Any recommendations? ? Thanks for reading, D.C.
  9. Hello! I am doing more and more full frame work, and doing some research about the optical full frame Directors Viewfinders options out there (non-digital). I was wondering if anyone had any particular insight into the various options that exist? I am aware of the: Denz "Director's Viewfinder OIC FF" Lindsey Optics "Large Format Directors Viewfinder" and PS Technik "Optica Magnus" Are there any that I am missing? Would love to hear if anyone has experience with any of these. I think the Denz and PS Technik also support anamorphic, The Lindsey Optics does not currently support Anamorphic. Any insight would be appreciated! (not looking for any "you should just use a digital finder, app, etc") Bryant Jansen
  10. Planning to shoot a project with a Nizo 6080. I was wondering if it was possible to somehow rig a bullet camera or something of the sort to use as a video assist. I've seen stuff on the internet from 10 years about about how to do this with Beaulieus, but nothing about Nizos or posted recently. Anyone have any experience with this, or know which bullet cam models or rigging methods might work with a Nizo viewfinder? Preferably without spending a ton of money or a lot of complex engineering to build it. Doesn't need to be fancy, just functional - I’m a student self-funding the project. Alternatively, would buying one of those old Zigview monitors work? How would I set that up to my circular viewfinder? All their models seem to have been made for rectangular SLR viewfinders and I can’t tell if any of the adapters might work. None one currently selling one on Ebay offers returns, so if i bought one I want to be absolutely sure I’m getting one that will fit my camera.

  14. Hi all, I'm looking to purchase an orientable Angenieux viewfinder for the Eclair NPR. I have the original Kinoptic viewfinder which is being laser brightened soon, but I would love to have an orientable vf in the kit. Let me know if anyone has any leads! Thank you, Tristan
  15. Hi, I'm looking for the possibility to use an ARRI SR1 in regular16. I'm shooting with a custom made anamorphic kit adapter 2X. I read somewhere that it is possible to adapt the 2x viewfinder from a ARRI 35BL into an ARRI SR1. If anyone would be knowledgeable about this. One question would be if this is even do-able, and another question will be how I can buy it and have it mounted on the Arri SR1. (not interested by video assist etc..) Thanks. Matthieu
  16. Hi Everyone I am a DP from India. Often the cameras that come for shoot don't have properly calibrated monitors and viewfinders. Since there isnt always a DIT on set, different monitors have different look. Especially if the camera viewfinder doesn't seem right it's a frustrating experience. Is there a way I can calibrate the viewfinder and onboard camera monitor for the Alexa or Red cameras? I don't mind buying a device/tool to do the job. Can somebody pls suggest a solution. Thanks Varun
  17. This SmallHD 702 Bright is brand new and in the box. The box has never been opened. As such the monitor is still covered under SmallHD's warranty. The 702 Bright is an incredibly bright, on camera, monitor that allows camera operators or 1st ACs to see the screen in daylight without a sun-hood. Which if you've ever tried pulling focus off of a Shogun, or some such monitor/recorder that has a really low nit count, in the daylight it's a disaster. The 702 has really convenient features that make life on set a lot easier. In addition to the brightness the 702 natively takes Sony BP style batteries as well as Canon LP-E6 batteries. The 702 is also able to receive SDI and put out through HDMI, or vice versa, if you ever had that need. In a lot of ways it's a really versatile monitor that's worth taking a look at. The highlights of this monitor are as follows. Specs:*7" Daylight Viewable 1080p Display *1000 cd/m² Brightness *1000:1 Contrast; 179° Viewing angle *HD-SDI and HDMI Inputs and Outputs *Dual L-Series and LP-E6 Battery Support

  20. Hi there, Finally I have had my ACL serviced by the best, Mr Bernie O'Doherty, and finally I can use it to shoot something serious. But to be serious, you need to have the complete set. And right now I am look for some accessories for the camera. First off is the top handle. I do know that Les Bosher sells one, but me and him do not seem eye to eye, so that is not an option. Second I am looking for is a new rubber cup for my viewfinder, the one I had just broke and I need something to replace it. if you know of any other accessories that might be necessary and you want to off-load, please reach out //C
  21. Hey everyone, I'm looking to rent an anamorphic viewfinder for my Moviecam Compact MKII. I've been asking around but can't seem to find one! I believe the Arricam viewfinder extensions work with the Compact MKII as well. If you have access to one or know where to rent one, I would love to know. Thanks!
  22. Hello folks :) , I recently bought a beautiful Beaulieu 4008 ZM II from the german camera museum. It´s in a great shape and was also tested by the seller, but now everytime i look in the viewfinder i see the lower half very milky and the upper half very dark, almost black. I have read in an other forum that its maybe a shutter problem , but I can open and close the shutter on the lens so thats strange.´But on the other hand i havent bought an external battery yet so i couldnt run the motor actually. And also When i look into the viewfinder theres a crooked stroke coming out of the right hand side, which also looks quite wrong for me. I´m quite a newbie in S8 cameras so any help would be SO great !!! Thank you in advance !!! Here some pictures of my beauty. ( I just removed the auto diaphragm on the lens) http://i.imgur.com/0I5tnr6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/V3EI3F9.jpg LeeHe
